Entering rules to the Embassy of Hungary in New Delhi!

  1. ENTRY TO THE EMBASSY OF HUNGARY IS POSSIBLE JUST IN MASK AND GLOVES.
  2. The applicants may enter the Embassy of Hungary if they subject themselves to medical examination (i.e. temperature screening) on entry.
  3. Persons under the influence of alcohol or drugs are not allowed to enter the Embassy.

3. D TYPE LONG TERM RESIDENT PERMIT APPLICATION

Nationals and/or residents of India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka need residence permit for living in Hungary a period of more than 90 days.

It is important to note that residence permit application can only be lodged at the Embassy of Hungary in person followed by an interview. No application can be lodged by third persons.

The passport and the decision on the residence permit application can be collected by a representative, presenting an authorized letter duly signed by the applicant certified by public notary.

  • India from the consular district of the Embassy of Hungary in New Delhi: Delhi, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, West-Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Sikkim, Chandigarh, Ladakh
  • BangladeshBhutanMaldivesNepal, and Sri Lanka

can submit a D visa application at the Embassy of Hungary in New Delhi.

 

Nationals and/or residents of:

  • India from the consular district of the Consulate General of Hungary in Mumbai: Maharashtra, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Goa, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Puducherry, Telangana, Daman and Diu, Dadra and Nagar Haveli

Submitting the D-visa applicaton and the visa-interview

ENTRY WITHOUT MASK  AND GLOVES WILL NOT BE PERMITTED AS IT WILL LEAD TO THE CANCELLATION OF YOUR APPOINTMENT.

PAYMENTS ARE TO BE MADE BY CARD ONLY.

A proof of residence must be lodged during the submission.

APPLICANT WITH INCOMPLETE APPLICATION WON’T BE ACCEPTED. 

AT THE TIME OF THE INTERVIEW AN EXTRA SET OF SINGLE SIDED COLOR PHOTOCOPY OF ALL THE PAGES OF THE SUBMITTED PASSPORT AND ALL ORIGINAL SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS MUST BE ATTACHED IN A GOOD QUALITY (EVERY PAGES MUST BE CLEAR VISIBLE AND READABLE)!

You will be notified on the decision by the Consular Section of the Embassy of Hungary in New Delhi. Please be advised that during the time of the assessment Consular Section will not answer any form of enquiry regarding state or outcome of the procedure.

 

Appeal procedure

In case of refusal, applicant has the right to appeal.

  • Appeals must be submitted in person either by the applicant or by the representative with a valid power of attorney from the applicant at the Consular and Visa Section of the Embassy of Hungary in working days, from Monday to Thursday between 16:00 to 17:30, within 8 days after receiving the decision on refusal.

The appeal should be lodged in written duly signed by the applicant or by the person who has a power of attorney. The fee for the appeal procedure must be paid at the time of submitting the appeal by card. The fee for the appeal procedure will not be reimbursed in any case.
