The Consular Section of the Embassy of Hungary in New Delhi is located at 2/50-M Niti Marg Chanakyapuri, New Delhi – 110021. The Visa Section is at Tenejing Nargay Marg (adjacent to Niti Marg).

Office hours for visa application are on Mondays from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM and residence permit applications on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 09:00-10:30. Passport collection time is on Mondays through Thursdays at 14:30-15:30.

Appeals can be lodged from Monday to Thursday between 14.00 and 16.00 hours. 

Please be advised that you need prior appointment for visa and residence permit application. Appointment can be arranged by e-mail: consulate.del@mfa.gov.hu .

In case you wish to apply for a HUNGARIAN RESIDENCE PERMIT, and you stay in Bangladesh or in the Maldives or in Nepal or in Sri Lanka or within India in Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Odisha, Bihar, West Bengal, Assam, Himachal Pradesh: please get an appointment to submit your application at the Embassy of Hungary in New Delhi sending the copy of your acceptance letter and your passport by e-mail: consulate.del@mfa.gov.hu .

IMPORTANT! If you stay within India in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Kerala, Goa, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Telangana, Puducherry you should get an appointment to submit your residence permit application from the Consulate General of Hungary in Mumbai (www.mumbai.mfa.gov.hu) by e-mail: consulate.mum@mfa.gov.hu .

Please be advised that you need prior appointment for legalization, certification and translation too. Appointment for legalization, certification and translation can be arranged by e-mailing to consulate.del@mfa.gov.hu. No appointment or enquiry by the phone. Classical consular matters must be arranged possibly on Fridays.
